Lets talk about the current narratives being pushed by the powers that be.
I don't want a talk on which side is 'correct', I want to talk about the agendas you are seeing pushed upon populations via various media outlets. There is something unnatural about discussions, posts, and videos that have been appearing more and more on popular websites where the masses tend to huddle.
We're seeing lots of people and media pushing the idea that the right is inciting violence and causing shootings, heavy coverage being put on right-wing shooters essentially making them famous.
So does any of this stuff actually work with normal NNTP software like tin, slrn, inn, leafnode...? I heard you can use Thunderbird, but what about the other software? BTW posting here with Lynx doesn't show captcha link, even with inline images toggled on. Have to go fetch it myself from http://beepedjhffvat3uwij5fxny72vlj7ugqb67ippjebise6adxf73y3uqd.onion/captcha/img
>>6b94331c07042f6086f2 tbh it's more like it uses NetNews article format and NNTP for backing storage. usability with actual newsreaders is sorta limited hack as you can't easily send moderation/signed articles or refer to posts using PostIDs (these are SHA1 of Message-IDs) (though you probably could configure your newsreader to use Message-ID and that'd work as reference in nksrv). I think nntpchan won't even display article in webui if you don't reply to root post while in nksrv you can reply to any post in thread. also some additional stuff like sage isn't really displayable, or easily post-able thru newsreaders. non-inline PGP posts won't work neither with nntpchan nor with nksrv well. it kinda all boils down to overchan stuff having different concepts (PostIDs, signature/moderation format, reference syntax, bumping/saging semantics). regarding compat with NNTP server software, well, it should probably work, more testing and feedback is always welcome.
