>>fb-IL6JTP6P >>fg-CFR7PIZD >i pnwd the corpos!!! you are fucking worthless. the big bad corpos you hate so much literally just rape gpl projects for profit (see redhat), and the smaller ones just don't say they are using gpl and get away with it because who the fuck cares. what the restrictions actually do is make improvements incompatible with permissive liscence purely for ideological reasons, so linux will never be able to donate code to 9front or openbsd or any actual good software project. the silver lining is that gpl code is usually fucking dogshit so it wouldn't actually be useful anyways. both of you should be contemplating suicide
>>fg-QPMRJUAY >so linux will never be able to donate code to 9front or openbsd or any actual good software project you know you can relicense the code you write yourself, right? If you want to let bsd or whoever cuck you while everybody else is stuck with gpl you can legally do that not saying it happens, just that it is possible
>>fg-QPMRJUAY Red Hat is just another corporation that especially tries to appeal to the open source community, they suck off "the big bad corpos I hate" voluntarily to be among them. > what the restrictions actually do is make improvements incompatible with permissive liscence purely for ideological reasons, so linux will never be able to donate code to 9front or openbsd or any actual good software project. Fucking hell, educate yourself. GPL is compatible with most open source licenses, especially the ones that the open source community shills, such as MIT. The only actually known license it is not compatible with is the cringe, 4 clause variant BSD license which no one actually uses (They use the modified BSD or FreeBSD license which all are regarded as "The BSD License").
i use arch btw
computers were a mistake
Title gives my conclusion from empirical events I witnessed and inside info. PSP runs on the same circuit, but isn't the backdoor per se, which has been around for much longer. Just like AMD was able to change the crypto algorithms for the Zen chip they licensed to China, they can change how the CPU behaves at any system, even those already deployed. This can be used to sabotage any program or computation, making BadBIOS (uses radio, not sound) vastly nastier than StuxNet. American military made a grave mistake by giving access to the morons of the Brazilian military, who are letting knowledge of this spread like a fire (and misusing it for petty profit and inside jobs to justify a police state). Israel, UK and France also have access, but are much more professional.
Can we get a thread about objective OS comparisons going? Windows: >90% of games have native support >most enterprise software, media production, and general applications are made for windows >Low customization >Tracks everything you do >W11 looks like shit >System locks down a lot of things GNU/Linux: >total customization >FLOSS galore >full system control >not all distros are well documented >community can be pretty cringe >a lot of things that Just Werk on Windows and Mac OS need considerable effort to get right >generally faster speeds >no viruses :) Mac OS: >media production tools are highly used and super powerful >extremely locked down both in terms of software AND hardware >horrible community and image >far more limited than the other too in terms of software availability >highest level of proprietary >iToddlers BTFO Anything else? am i wrong on some stuff?
